Abstract
A mechanistic model is developed for multiple jets of a unidirectional diffuser discharging into shallow water subject to a strong crossflow. The framework captures momentum exchange, jet spreading and near‑field mixing, and it is validated against laboratory data, providing guidance for diffuser design and environmental assessments.
