Use of Geographic Information System (GIS) to investigate spatial clustering of diabetes in the State of Kuwait.

The project's main aim is to establish a GIS infrastructure at the Geohealth Lab at DDI, conduct geocoding of de-identifiable DDI patient data and investigate spatial associations between health and built environment, physical environment and demographic data. The GIS infrastructure is an enabler of multiple facets of geospatial health research on which the lab is conducting. We currently have seven subprojects under the umbrella of this protocol.
