Abstract English
The object of this work is to provide an analysis tool for energy economic and environmental planning in Kuwait. This will be in the fom of MARKAL/MARKALMACRO/MUSS modeling system.
MARKAL is a large scale dynamic linear programming (LP) optimization model designed to represent national, regional or local energy systems. MARKAL-MACRO allows energy economy interactions to be modeled within a general equilibrium framework.
The model will be configured to the Kuwait. energy system, a database will be developed and documented and a user manual will be provided.
This proposal discusses the methodology for configuring the modeling system to the Kuwait energy system and for development and documentation of associated database, describes model utilization for policy analysis, and outlines scope of work and prospective related research studies
