The Ministry of Education, the Environment Public Authority, the National UNESCO Committee and the Office of the International Organization MILSET, agreed to establish environmental centers. This stems from the confidence of the State of Kuwait in its various ministries and organizations and their commitment to the environment and its protection. The proposed environmental centers aim to: 1. Provide the scientific atmosphere that interest the students in the subject of environment and attract them to engage their free time in an educationally beneficial and scientific manner. 2. Support the school curricula in the environmental fields and implement them at different educational levels, with the joint support of the schools. 3. Train and encourage national cadres to specialize in environmental subjects so as to enable them to guide the students. 4. Bring together student volunteers and engage them in developmental tasks in the field of environment and through community services. 5. Spread scientific culture and environmental awareness in the community. 6. Co-operate with national organizations and emphasize their role in environmental protection. 7. Communicate with international centers and educational and environmental organizations and participate in their programs and activities.
