إن استعمال الخرسانة ذات المقاومة العالية في ازدياد في دولة الكويت وحول العالم. وتتميز هذه الخرسانة بقدرتها العالية لتحمل الاجهادات وبديمومتها. وسيتم من خلال هذا البحث فحص أربعة وعشرين كمرة لمعرفة سلوكها تحت تأثير قوى القص العالية. عندما يكون التسليح العرضي فيها مقاربا للكمية الدنيا المطلوبة حسب مواصفات "ACI" و "AASHTO" والكود الأوروبي. وستتراوح مقاومة الضغط المستعملة بين 30 و 80 ميغاباسكال. وستتم دراسة سلوك هذه الكمرات من خلال دراسة الأحمال التي تسبب ظهور الشروخ وحجم الشروخ وتباعدها والمقاومة القصوى لقوى القص.

Abstract English

The use of high strength concrete (HSC) in the building and bridge construction is increasing both in the State of Kuwait and around the world. Using high strength concrete improves not only the structural but also the durability performance of structural elements. In the concrete industry, “high performance concrete” plays an important role in the future of concrete construction, not only in the country but all over the world. The present research will experimentally evaluate the shear behaviour of high strength concrete beams. Twenty-four beams (20 cm x 40 cm in cross section and 300 cm in length) will be cast using high strength concrete and will be tested under three or four point loading arrangements. These beams will have concrete strengths ranging from 30 to 80 MPa. Also, different levels of transverse reinforcement will be investigated, including the levels required by the ACI code, the AASHTO specifications and the European code. Reaching higher concrete strengths will also be attempted. The performance of the different amounts of the transverse reinforcement will be evaluated based on the shear strength, cracking at service load and ductility.
