Abstract English
calf mortality causes significant losses to the dairy sector in Kuwait and poses a major constraint to future expansion of this industry. specific information on the causes of calf mortality in Kuwait is presently inadequate. Farm owners are also not aware of the financial benefits and costs of implementing programs to correct this problem.
this project will study the magnitude and the nature of Kuwait` s calf mortality problem in significant detail and develop a pilot program for controlling the underlying causes. The project will analyze historical data, conduct special surveys, collect relevant clinical samples, and diagnose causative agents.
this project will also achieve a high degree of cooperation and interchange between kisr / paafr (as co—investigators) and the private dairy farm operators
