A Study on Community Development Skills among Social Workers in Public Sector in Kuwait

تلقي هذه الدراسة الضوء على نوعية المهارات المهنية والوظيفة التي يحتاجها أخصائي تنمية المجتمع، وكيفية استغلال هذه المهارات للتعامل مع المشكلات التي يعاني منها المجتمع من المواقع التي يعمل بها الأخصائيون الاجتماعيون. وتبرز أهمية الدراسة في جانبها العلمي في إظهار القدرة التنموية للأخصائي الاجتماعي واستخدامها كأسلوب فعال لمواجهة القضايا المجتمعية والاعتماد فقط على المهارات الفردية والجماعية. ومن أهم الأهداف التي تحاول الدراسة تحقيقها هو التعرف على نوع ومستوى المهارات المهنية لأخصائي التنمية، ومدى تلبية هذه المهارات لأهداف الممارسة في الفئات التي يتعامل معها الأخصائي الاجتماعي لإشباع حاجاتها ومواجهة مشكلاتها.

This study attempted to shed some light on the quality of professional and occupational skills required by social workers and ways to utilize these skills to deal with societal problems, based on their designations. The importance of the scientific merits of the study stems from the fact that it demonstrates developmental capabilities of social workers who can be effective to address societal issues pertaining to individuals and groups. One of the main objectives of this study is to identify the type and level of professional skills of social workers and the degree of satisfaction that they impart to different sections of society that the workers deal with and interact to address their needs and confront their problems.
