Childhood Obesity electronic Registry (CODeR) was officially established in 2011; It`s a collaborative effort of Dasman Diabetes Institute and MoH. CODeR`s aim is to identify children and adolescents (0-14) years discharged from hospitals with the diagnosis of diabetes and those attending Primary Healthcare Centers, Diabetes Special Clinics, KOC, and the Kuwait Diabetes Society. Total registered patients since 2011 are 3075 patients, (data October,2021). Three new projects based on diabetes registry CODeR (substudies) are currently approved at DDI: Thyroid and celiac Autoimmunity and Diseases in Children and Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes in Kuwait: Results of the Childhood Onset Diabetes electronic Registry (CODeR). Long term complications of diabetes in children in Kuwait: Results of Childhood Onset Diabetes electronic Registry (CODeR) The Effect of COVID-19 on Children with Newly Diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in Kuwait”. One project approved by MoH & acknowledged by CSO: The Quality of life of children with Type 1 Diabetes During the COVID-19 pandemic.
