Patient satisfaction one year after total knee arthroplasty: a single-center study in Kuwait

رضا المریض بعد عملیة تبدیل مفصل الركبھ ھو مقیاس مھم یعكس قیمة الجراحھ و جودتھا. ومع ذلك أفاد حوالي 20 الى 29 % من المرضى بأنھم غیر راضین عن نتائج العملیھ. الھدف من البحث المقترح ھو تقییم الرضا العام للمرضى و رضاھم عن تخفیف الآلام و الكفاءه الوظیفیة بعد عملیة تبدیل مفصل الركبھ في الكویت. سیتم اجراء دراسة مقطعیة مع مراجعھ بأثر رجعي. سیتم تحدید 400 مریض مؤھل من خلال قاعدة بیانات/سجلات المرضى. سیطلب من المرضى المؤھلین أكمال مقاییس النتائج الاولیھ (الرضا) والثانویھ (الالم و المستوى الوظیفي) عبر مكالمھ ھاتفیھ. سیتم التحقیق في العلاقة بین رضا المریض أو عدم رضاه والنتائج السریریھ باستخدام التحلیل الترابطي

Patient satisfaction after total knee arthroplasty is an important outcome measure that subjectively reflects the value and quality of the surgery. Yet around 20 to 29% of patients reported to be dissatisfied after TKA surgery. The aim of the proposed research is to evaluate the overall patient satisfaction and satisfaction with pain relief and functional competence at one year following TKA surgery, in Kuwait. A cross-sectional study with a retrospective review will be conducted. 400 Eligible patients will be identified retrospectively from patient databases/records. Patients who are eligible will kindly be requested to complete the primary (satisfaction) and secondary outcome measures (pain and functional level) via a phone call. The association between patient satisfaction/dissatisfaction and clinical outcomes will be investigated using correlational analysis.
