Abstract English

The study aims to investigate the parent-child relationship and depressive symptoms among young female homosexuals and heterosexuals in Kuwait. The Parent-Child Relationship Scale (PCRS) of AlMuslim (2001) and the Multi-dimensional Child and Adolescent Depression Scale (MCADS) of AbdelKhalek (2003) will be used. The findings will explore the experience of homosexuals with fathers, mothers, parental problems and family environment. It will also identify the prevalence of depressive symptoms among female homosexuals. Planning for the lesbian adolescent in care will be suggested to engage them and their families in treatment programs and community services.
