Effects of Interactive Multimedia Instruction on Middle School Students' Knowledge Acquisition and Retainment

يسعى المعلمين في مدارس المرحلة المتوسطة إلى دمج وسائل التكنولوجيا الحديثة لاسيما الوسائل المتعددة المتفاعلة المستخدمة عن طريق الحاسوب التعليمي. فالكثير منهم يسعى إلى استخدام هذه الأساليب دون مراعاة مدى تأثير هذه الوسائل على اكتساب التلاميذ المعرفة ومدى قدرتهم على الاحتفاظ بها. مما لاشك فيه أن هذا الاستخدام للوسائل المتعددة أصبح شائعاً في المدارس العامة بدولة الكويت والخليج العربي، فعليه تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى قياس أثر استخدام الوسائط المتعددة المتفاعلة على اكتساب المعرفة والقدرة على الاحتفاظ بها لدى تلاميذ المرحلة المتوسطة.

Teachers in the middle schools seek to integrate technology into their teaching process, especially the use of interactive computer multimedia. The use of such technology has been used in schools without consideration for its effect on students’ knowledge attainment and retainment. Since the usage has become common in the public schools in Kuwait and the Gulf region, this study aims at measuring the effect of interactive computer multimedia on students’ knowledge attainment and retainment.
