Chemical and microbiological evaluation of household (Tap) and commercial bottled drinking water in Kuwait

يهدف المشروع إلى الحصول على المعلومات الأساسية حول مستويات الجراثيم والعناصر النزره والمعادن والأصناف المتنوعة للمركبات العضوية المتواجدة في مياه الشرب المنزلية ومياه الشرب المعبأة (المياه المعدنية) في دولة الكويت. ومن أهداف هذا المشروع كذلك تأثير زمن التخزين ودرجة الحرارة ومواد الصهاريج الحاوية لهذه المياه على أساس ما تحتويه من مكونات كيميائية وجرثومية وعلاقتها بمواد التعليب الخاصة بمياه الشرب المعبأة (المياه المعدنية). كما يهدف هذا المشروع إلى دراسة تأثير مواد الضخ ودرجة حرارة الخزانات ونسبة تدفق المياه على أساس ما تحتويه من ملوثات كيميائية وجرثومية في مياه الشرب المنزلية.

The main objectives of the project are: to provide basic information about levels of microbes, trace elements, minerals and various classes of organic compounds in bottled and household drinking water available in Kuwait; to study the effect of storage time, temperature and container material on the levels of microbiological and chemical constituents and its relation to the packing material for bottled water; to study the effect of plumbing materials, storage tank temperature, and water flow rate on the microbiological and chemical contaminants in household water. On completion, the project should provide a complete database on the physio-chemical and microbiological quality of bottled and household water in various areas of Kuwait, data on the relation between the levels of bacteria and chemical constituents; with both of storage conditions and packing materials of bottled water, and the effect of different variables for household water.
