Educational and Daily Needs of Kuwaiti Minors Under the State's Custody

استهدفت هذه الدراسة رصد وتحليل المتطلبات الحياتية والتربوية للأبناء القصّر الكويتيين المشمولين برعاية الهيئة العامة لشئون القصّر، وذلك حسب مدركات أمهات هؤلاء الأبناء – أجريت الدراسة على عينة عشوائية قوامها 240 مفردة من الأمهات التي يقمن على رعاية أبنائهن القصّر بعد وفاة أزواجهن ( الأسر وحيدة الو الدية ) وفيما يخص جمع البيانات اعتمدت الدراسة على استبانه تتوافر فيها معايير الصدق والثبات ، وتوزعت على خمسة ابعاد هي اعباء الدور التربوي والاسري للامهات في الاسرة وحيدة الوالدية – الضغوط الاجتماعية والمادية التي تواجهها الامهات – ابرز المشكلات الاسرية للابناء – الاحتياجات الارشادية للامهات القائمات علي تربية الابناء القصر- المتغيرات المؤثرة في مدركات الامهات للمتطلبات الحياتية والتربوية للابناء-التوجة نحو الهيئة بمعنى فعالية دورالهيئة في تقديم الدعم والمساندة الامهات أما جمع البيانات الميدانية فقد تم من خلال المقابلات لمباشرة مع الامهات ، ومن ثم مراجعة تلك البيانات ومعالجتها باستخدام برنامج الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (spss).

This study aimed to identify the daily and educational needs of minors who are provided with care under the custody of the Public Authority for Minors Affairs according to the perceptions of their mothers. It adopted a descriptive scheme in an attempt to identify the current status of the investigated phenomena through monitoring, quantifying and applying statistical analysis on the selected sample in such a way that would enable researchers to answer some of the questions raised by the study. The study was conducted on a sample of 240 mothers who provide care for their minor children following the decease of their husbands. The mothers were selected from approved lists of names at the Public Authority for Minors Affairs. Forty mothers were selected from each of the different governorates of Kuwait. The selection process took into consideration the diversity of the tested sample in terms of age, education, duration of husband’s decease in order to ensure that the sample possesses the largest number of characteristics that may potentially affect the perception of the daily and educational needs of the children.
