Abstract English

The principal goal of this study is to improve the performance of aluminium building components ranging from their metallurgical properties to anodising and coloring processing, designing and fabricating doors and windows, functional and engineering performance and quality control measures.
The project consists of three phases. The first phase deals with the operations and products of Arabian Light Metals (ALM) Company. The production facilities of Kuwait Aluminium Company (KAC) and its aluminium building components are investigated in Phase II. The third and the final phase of the project integrates the results of the first two phases to develoe functional and engineering specifications for aluminium building components in Kuwait.
The duration of the project is 18 months.
