Abstract English
The Ministry of Education, the Environment Public Authority, the National UNESCO Committee and the Office of the International Organization MILSET, agreed to establish environmental centres as shown below. This stems from the confidence of the State of Kuwait in its various ministries and organizations and their commitment to the environment and its protection.
The proposed environmental centres aim to:
1. Providing the scientific atmosphere that interests students in the environment and attracts them to engage their free time in accordance with educational and scientific aspects.
2. Supporting the school curricula in the environmental fields through their application in cooperation with schools according to the educational levels.
3. Qualifying and advancing national environmental cadres that can lead the students.
4. Consolidating the volunteering work among students and engaging them in national development in the environmental field and through community services.
5. Spreading scientific culture and environmental awareness in the community.
6. Cooperating with national organizations and emphasizing their role in environmental protection.
7. Communication with international centres and educational and environmental organizations and participating in their programs and activities.
