 Defining the role of schools in negating the adverse impact of Iraqi aggression.  Providing recommendations for school administrators. During the seven months of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the country and its citizens, particularly children, suffered many forms of physical, social and psychological damage. Kuwaiti children were deprived of basic needs, including security, access to knowledge and social communication. While the liberation enabled the State of Kuwait to rebuild its infrastructure and educational system, questions emerged about the effects of the invasion on primary school students. The objectives of this study were to define the negative effects of the Iraqi regime aggression on the achievement level of primary school students during the scholastic year 1991/1992 and to provide recommendations for school administrators for implementation in order to help students overcome the invasion’s negative effects. A questionnaire was developed for school officials that requested information about the conduct and characteristics of primary school pupils during the pre-and post-invasion periods and about school administration efforts to alleviate the negative effects of the invasion and raise students’ academic standards.
