The Required Competencies For E-Learning Among Science And Mathematics Supervisors During The COVID-19 Virus Crisis

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى قياس جاهزية مشرفي العلوم والرياضيات فيما يتعلق باستخدام التكنولوجيا والتعلم عبر الإنترنت. في النظام المركزي ، يقدم المشرفون رؤى وخططًا لتطوير المعلمين في المدارس. خ ال أزمة COVID-19 في فصل الربيع من عام 2020 ، اضطرت الحكومات في جميع أنحاء العالم إلى إغ اق المدارس والتحول إلى التعلم عبر الإنترنت والتعليم عن بعد ، وقدمت الكويت التعليم عبر الإنترنت كخيار لمجتمعها. أجبرت تداعيات هذه الأزمة الحالية العديد من مشرفي العلوم والرياضيات عى التكيف مع التعليم عن بعد ، لكن معظمهم لم يكونوا مستعدين ، وكان التحول مفاجئًا للكثيرين في مجتمع التعليم. وبالتالي ، سيتم استخدام نهج الأسلوب المختلط من خ ال استخدام استطلاع عبر الإنترنت يلتمس إجابات قصيرة من المستجيبين. سيتم استخدام ANOVA أحادي الاتجاه لتحليل المسح والإجابات القصيرة ، بينما سيتم استخدام الترميز لتحديد مواضيع جميع العقبات والتحديات. سيتم الحصول عى النتائج المتوقعة ومناقشتها مع أصحاب المصلحة في وزارة التعليم لتحديد المزيد من الخطوات لتسهيل ومساعدة المعلمين وجهودهم القيادية نحو التطوير المهني الذي هم بأمس الحاجة إليه

The aim of this study is to measure the readiness of science and mathematics supervisors regarding the use of technology and online learning. In a centralized system, supervisors are providing visions and plans toward development for teachers in schools. During the crisis of COVID-19 in spring semester of 2020, governments across the globe were forced to close schools and shift to online and distance learning, and Kuwait has provided online education as an option for its community. The repercussions of this current crisis has forced many science and mathematics supervisors to adapt to distance education, but most were not prepared, and the transformation was surprising to many in the education community. Thus, a mixed method approach will be employed through the use of an online survey that solicits short answers from respondents. One-way ANOVA will be used to analyze the survey and short answers, while coding will be used to identify the themes of all the obstacles and challenges. The expected results will be obtained and discussed with the Ministry of Education’s stakeholders to determine further steps to facilitate and aid teachers and their leadership efforts toward their much needed professional development.
