National Energy Strategy for the State of Kuwait - White Paper

طلبت مؤسسة الكويت للتقدم العلمي من معهد الكويت للأبحاث العلمية للقيام بتطوير ورقة عمل معنية باستراتيجية وطنية للطاقة لدولة الكويت. الهدف من تلك الورقة هو تطوير سياسات لمواجهة تحديات الطاقة التي تواجه البلاد على الصعيدين الدولي والمحلي. على الصعيد الدولي، ستقدم الورقة سياسات لتمهيد الطريق نحو الحفاظ على الطلب العالمي على النفط الكويتي، والعمل للمحافظة على استقرار أسعار النفط المناسبة، والتخفيف من تأثير السياسات البيئية على الطلب على النفط. وعلى الصعيد المحلي، ستعرض الورقة مجموعة أخرى من السياسات لتسريع نشر أنظمة الطاقة المتجددة لتلبية 15% من الطلب على الطاقة بحلول عام 2030، وتسهيل تبني نظم كفاءة الطاقة وتدابير الحفاظ عليها

The aim of this research work is to develop a National Energy Strategy White Paper (WP) that addresses challenges facing the country on the international and domestic levels. On the international level, the WP will provide a set of policies to pave the way toward sustaining international demand for Kuwaiti oil, maintaining desired oil prices, and mitigating the effect of environmental policies on oil demand. On the domestic level, the WP will offer another set of policies to expedite the deployment of renewable energy systems to meet 15% of the demand by 2030, and facilitate the adoption of energy efficiency and conservation measures.
