Compositional Analysis of Residues for Kuwaiti Crude Oils

نتيجةالحاجة الملحة لاستخدام مخلفات النفط المقطرة اتجه العاملون في قطاع تكرير النفط إلى العمل على تحسين المقطرات الثقيلة لإنتاج وقود خفيف وذى قيمة عالية، ومن مواصفات هذا الوقود أنه يجب أن يحتوي على نسبة منخفضة من النيتروجين والكبريت. يهدف المقترح إلى تقديم دراسة منظمة عن الأساليب المتطورة والتقنيات المستنبطة لفصل وتحليل أنواع المركبات من مخلفات ثقيلة ناتجة من نفوط كويتية مختلفة وسوف تكون نتائج هذه الدراسة بالخواص المتعلقة بالمخلف النفطي الثقيل ذات فائدة ودعامة أساسية لصناعة النفط الكويتي بصفة خاصة.

The increasing demand for utilizing the heavy ends of petroleum distillates forced the petroleum refiners to upgrade these heavy distillates and residual materials to produce light valuable fuel products. This fuel must be low in nitrogen and sulphur content. The proposal presents a systematic study of the adaptation and development procedures as well as techniques for the separation and analysis of heavy compound types from Kuwaiti crude vacuum residue. The characteristic features of vacuum residue to be obtained from this study will be of great help and important to Kuwait’s petroleum industry.
