The Kuwait Society for the Protection of the Environment was established on March 31, 1974, and the first conference on the human environment held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden in 1972, and the resulting decisions and recommendations to establish the United Nations Environment Program at the global level and take Nairobi as its headquarters, and encourage the establishment of public benefit associations concerned with preserving the environment and combating the causes of pollution at the local and regional levels as the starting whistle for the train of the founding journey of the Kuwait Society for the Protection of the Environment.
